Returning to this space after years of transition, I still like the definition of political horizons. Interestingly, it is parts of the far-right who have united across the outlying space, making a coalition of diverse fringe elements with wealthy privatizers. This has so taken over all aspects of government as to leave my old friends on the left often pledged to restore the center.
The question of what the left owes the center is as ancient as Athens, and still complicated.
Historically, in the US such ruling coalitions tend to fall apart, either because the privatizers overstep and produce a depression (Hoover), or because their coalition cannot be held together (McKinley, Trump first term).
